Ladanian Tomlinson
A guaranteed write in for the NFL Hall of Fame, Running Back Ladanian Tomlinson was determined rusty by the San Diego Chargers at the end of the 2009 season and he was placed on free agency. Tomlinson, during his stay with the Chargers had the best year of his career in 2006 where he rushed for 1,815 yards in 348 carries (9.1 average yards per carry) with a total of 28 touchdowns. Tomlinson was king of the world in 06, and a threat to all defensive coordinators around the league. His slide began in 2008, and came to a crashing halt in 2009 where he only managed to rush for 730 yards in 223 carries (3.3 average yards per carry) with just 12 touchdowns accredited to him. Could the release of Tomlinson have had anything to do with the factor that he never managed to carry them to a Super Bowl? Records show that even in the far depths of the playoffs, the Chargers were so built around Tomlinson the slightest injury at the wrong time would pull them down. Certainty the gradual decrease in rushing yards would make him appear to be a fallen star with not much left to give. Before signing with the Jets, Tomlinson’s had rushed enough to rank eighth on the NFL's career rushing list with 12,490 yards. In his few weeks with the Jets, he is making the Chargers eat their doubts as he has already rushed for 435 yards in 76 carries (5.3 average yards per carry) with 3 touchdowns; all in just 5 weeks. This feat is even more impressive, considering he is sharing carries with the Jets prospect running back Shonn Green. Tomlinson was looking for a team that aspired to run all the way to the Super Bowl, and Coach Rex Ryan offers him just that attitude. His Honor is respectable in not lusting revenge on the Chargers; like a certain Vikings quarterback to the Packers. Can the Jets win a Super Bowl in the Tomlinson-Greene era? Only time will tell that tale.

It's possible for the Jets. At least now that Randy Moss is a Viking! We'll have to see. I'm actually a Broncos fan so I'm hoping they don't!!
